On my way back to NY earlier this week I had to pull over to the side of the road to take s a few photographs of these awesome icicle formations!

My father is a collector of many things. These days his obsessions are insulators and old seltzer bottles. Today my Mom and I tagged along to one of his shows where he displayed some of his glass, along with a few other table items. I really enjoyed taking photographs of all the items on display.

Old fashion Seltzer Bottles:

This is another gentleman's insulator display. My Dad had only a few of his thousands, too hard to part with many more.

Bird spout detail on old seltzer bottle:

Fire plug:

Radio strains (used to insulate cables that supported radio antennas and insulated them from ground):

More insulators and other antiques on displays.

Very cool lightening rods:

It's a sea of insulators.

In La Romana, Dominican Republic I also visited these super old caves where we were not supposed to take photographs (to preserve the cave drawings) but had an awesome tour guide who let us take some anyway. The this big caterpillar caught my eye on our way out of the caves and I loved capturing it's details.

La Romana, Dominican Republic: Los Altos De Chevron, a must see destination for those visiting the area.

Curacao is full of character and one of the most colorful cities I visited.

It is also the home of one of the oldest Synagogues in continuous use in the Western Hemisphere. I really enjoyed visiting this old historic landmark.
